The Artefacts of Malfoy Manor

I love the idea of the Manor holding treasure troves of Muggle and wizarding artefacts. I can’t really accept that all the dark stuff was kept in that secret chamber under the drawing-room floor, and in Heaven Through a Window I used a bit of blood magic to hide the Hall of Forgotten Things.
This post is spoilery so perhaps wait til you're at the Hall of Forgotten Things chapter before ogling all the stuff!
Outside that room though, here are Draco’s robes which I imagine would be a floor-length version of this 18th C veste à capuche and I chose this jewelled falcon to guard the stables. These are the railings of Chantilly castle.Just marvellous and an inspiration for Beauxbatons in the graphic I put together for On the Deficiencies of Translation Spells. Here is Lupo, Will & Kate's dog.
All of Draco’s meals are a mash up of scrumptious-sounding meals taken from various UK Michelin star restaurants.
Draco’s Persians, owls, and Australian cousins are from my unpublished Harry/Lucius time travel WIP. The Old Whissing Club is from Astolat's fic Reparatio.
Anyway. Onto the artefacts:
- Galileo’s telescope, his moon drawings and da Vinci’s notebooks
- A creepy abandoned pickled shark
- There are many funky Victorian fish tanks out there, here are a few examples
- 350 year old Tibetan carved skull
- Crocodile foot scabbard
- Lapis lazuli and bronze vase
- Alabaster carved boat from Tutankhamun’s tomb I think there’s rich wizarding history in Egypt, got a taste of this when the Weasleys went on holiday there!
- Aztec turquoise skull (these are a bit grim) 1,2, 3
- Death masks!! Ahhh scary
